To Honor & Showcase
We shine a light on the beauty, depth, and tradition of the Ethiopian coffee ceremony, celebrating the rituals that have brought families and communities together for generations.
At Warka Coffee, we’re more than a coffee place. We’re keepers of tradition. Founded by a visionary woman entrepreneur, our purpose is simple but profound: to preserve and promote Ethiopia’s timeless coffee culture and share it with the world. We believe that the Ethiopian coffee ceremony is not just a way to brew coffee, it’s a way to brew connection, respect, and peace.
Every cup of coffee we share carries a story, one that began centuries ago under the shade of the Warka tree, a timeless symbol of community, gathering, and resilience. That’s where we find our name, and that’s where our mission begins.

“We host a festival that opened a door to Ethiopia’s identity.” — Warka Coffee
In 2022, a shared vision took its first breath. In partnership with the Addis Ababa Bureau of Culture and Tourism, Warka Coffee gathered our nation’s most cherished tradition under one roof. This was not merely a display; it was a declaration. A declaration that our ancient coffee ceremony is a ritual of patience, community, and respect that holds the timeless recipe for unity and peace.
The air hummed not just with the aroma of roasting beans, but with the energy of a new beginning. Diplomats, government leaders, artists, and elders sat side-by-side, united by the simple, profound act of sharing a cup. For the first time, our living heritage was presented not as a museum piece, but as a dynamic, unifying force for the modern world. We proved that from a single bean, an entire movement for cultural pride and connection could grow.
